Leak

What we do: We stop the water first. Then we find where it is coming from and repair the pipe, joint or valve. Most leaks are fixed on the first visit.
Fixed price: $95
Fixed. Covers the call-out, the first hour and small parts. A bigger repair gets a written price before we start.
How fast we come: Within 90 minutes
Day or night, anywhere in FW1 to FW9.
Before we get there: Turn the water off at the stopcock. It is usually under the kitchen sink. If water is near lights or sockets, switch off the electrics at the fuse box.

No hot water

What we do: We test the boiler or hot water cylinder, find the fault and fix it. The van carries the common parts for most boilers, so most repairs are done on the same visit.
Fixed price: $110
Fixed for finding the fault and the first hour of repair. Parts are priced before we fit them.
How fast we come: Same day
Within 3 hours if you have no heating either.
Before we get there: Look at the pressure gauge on the front of the boiler. If it reads below 1, tell us when you call. It is often a five minute fix we can talk you through.

Blocked drain

What we do: We clear blocked sinks, toilets, showers and outside drains with rods or a water jetter. Then we run water through to check it drains properly.
Fixed price: $85
For a sink, shower, bath or toilet. An outside drain is $140. No extra charge if it takes longer.
How fast we come: Within 3 hours
Today, if you call before 16:00.
Before we get there: Stop using the sink or toilet. Do not pour drain cleaner in. It can burn skin and makes the job slower for us.

Cold radiator

What we do: We bleed the radiators, check the valves and balance the system so every room heats up. If a valve is stuck, we replace it on the spot.
Fixed price: $75
For the whole house, any number of radiators. A new radiator valve is $65 fitted.
How fast we come: Next working day
Same day if the whole house is cold.
Before we get there: Feel the radiator. If the top is cold and the bottom is warm, it probably needs bleeding. If it is cold all over, check the valve at the side is open.

Noisy boiler

What we do: We find what is making the noise. It is usually air in the system, scale in the heat exchanger, low pressure or a worn pump. Then we fix it or give you a written price.
Fixed price: $110
Fixed for finding the fault and the first hour of repair. Parts are priced before we fit them.
How fast we come: Same or next day
Dee is registered to work on gas boilers.
Before we get there: If the boiler bangs loudly, switch it off. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas emergency number first, then call us.

Do these three things, then call us. We can stay on the phone while you do them.

Do this first

Turn off the water
The stopcock is usually under the kitchen sink. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
Switch off the electrics
If water is near lights or sockets, switch off at the fuse box. Do not touch wet switches.
Catch the water
Put a bowl or bucket under the drip and move anything you want to keep dry.
