About it

The smell of a fig tree in the sun, the leaves more than the fruit. Grapefruit keeps it bright and a little cedar keeps it from being sweet.

Good in a kitchen or a hallway, and one of the few we burn in summer.

Burn time, wax and wick

Burn time
About 40 hours for the small jar and about 70 hours for the large jar.
Wax
100 percent soy wax with 8 percent fragrance oil. No paraffin and no phthalates.
Wick
Unbleached cotton with no metal core. One wick in the small jar, three in the large.
Jar
Amber glass, 7.5 cm wide in the small size and 11 cm wide in the large. Keep it for a refill.
Cure
Every batch rests for ten days before we post it.

Care

  1. On the first burn, leave it lit until the melted wax reaches the glass all the way round. That takes 2 to 3 hours for a small jar and 3 to 4 hours for a large one.
  2. Trim the wick to 5 mm before you light it again.
  3. Burn it for up to 4 hours at a time, away from draughts.
  4. Stop when 1 cm of wax is left in the jar.
  5. Never leave a lit candle in a room on its own, and keep it away from children and pets.
