We use one linen for nearly everything we make. It is a plain weave of 185 grams per square metre, woven at a mill two hours from our workroom from flax grown in Normandy and Flanders. Flax needs little water and no irrigation in those fields, and every part of the plant is used.
After cutting and sewing we wash every piece once at 40 degrees with stones. That takes the stiffness out, softens the colour and does the shrinking for you, so a shirt will not shrink more than 2 percent at home.
The overshirt is the exception. It uses a heavier 260 gram linen from the same mill. The scarf is a thin 110 gram linen that we buy undyed.

Flax is grown and retted in the fields in Normandy and Flanders, then spun into yarn.
The mill near Kaunas weaves and dyes the cloth. Dyes are certified free of harmful substances.
We cut and sew in our workroom. Eleven people, each sewing a whole garment.
Each piece is washed, pressed, folded in paper and posted from Kaunas within two working days.
Care Wash at 40 degrees with similar colours. Line dry, or tumble dry low. Iron while damp if you want it smooth.
