Garden villa

Three villas on the upper level of the garden, closest to reception, with no steps on the way in.

Villa 1 of 4

The garden villas are the simplest of the four and the easiest to reach. Each has a bedroom under a high alang-alang roof, a bathroom that opens onto a walled garden with a copper bath, and a plunge pool on the terrace.

You look out over the garden and the frangipani trees rather than the terraces. They suit guests who would rather not climb, and families who take two villas side by side.

Terrace villa

Two villas at the edge of the second level, built so the pool looks straight down the terraces.

Villa 2 of 4

From the bed you look over the pool and down the rice terraces to the valley. The fields change through the year, flooded and silver after planting, green in the middle months and gold before the harvest.

Each villa has a stone bath on the terrace and a shaded day bed by the pool. They are the villas guests ask for most, so book early for July, August and December.

Valley villa

The two largest villas, lowest in the garden, among old trees above the river.

Villa 3 of 4

The bedroom is an open-sided pavilion with curtains on three sides and a view down the valley. The bath stands under the trees, and the pool is long enough to swim lengths.

There is a daybed that takes a child under twelve. It is quiet down here, and it is the furthest walk from reception, about four minutes on the stone steps.

Family house

One house with two bedrooms, its own kitchen and a fenced pool, on the third level of the garden.

Villa 4 of 4

The family house was the first building on the land and has the tallest roof in the garden. There is a king bedroom, a second room with two single beds, two bathrooms and a small kitchen.

The pool is fenced for children, and we can bring a cot, a high chair and a baby bath. Breakfast can be cooked in the house kitchen if the children are up early.
